US Embassy Dublin: Saving July 4th, Former Ambassador Dan Rooney to the Rescue

◉  By Domani Spero

This is a cute 4th of July video from the US Embassy in Ireland:  “Charge d’affairs John Hennessey Niland had a major problem on the morning of July 4. There were no footballs for the flag football game!  He had to place a call to former Ambassador and Pittsburgh Steelers football team owner Dan Rooney to see if he could help….”  Ambassador Rooney who was appointed chief of mission to Dublin, served from 2009-2012.

In the video below, Ambassador Rooney gives the Queen of England competition in the parachute jump category.  The question is – who had a better landing behind the building after jumping off from their air vehicle of choice?
